I live in Hervey Bay, a small coastal city in Queensland, Australia.

This is my personal corner of the internet. I write about life, things I’m watching and listening to, photos I’ve taken, and whatever else is on my mind. It’s deliberately not professional. It was too much to have everything on my professional site.

A few things I’m into:

• Coffee — home barista, probably too serious about it
• Music — a guitar player for several decades, now working on a project in my home studio that should see the light of day in 2026.
• Bikes — road cycling mostly, sometimes very seriously, but not right now
• Photography — learning again, slowly, on a Fujifilm X-S20
• Cooking — because there’s not a lot of options around here
• Road trips — I love a good drive in the country

I’ve been online for a long long time. I had a Twitter account from 2007 until Elon bought it. Now I’m mainly at Bluesky and sometimes Instagram but that’s getting fairly well enshittified too.
