Hi, I’m Damian.

I live in Hervey Bay, a small coastal city in Queensland, Australia — having swapped Brisbane city life for something a bit slower and a lot sunnier in early 2025. It’s been a good trade.

This is my personal corner of the internet. I write about life, things I’m watching and listening to, photos I’ve taken, and whatever else is on my mind. It’s deliberately not professional.

A few things I’m into:

• Coffee — home barista, probably too serious about it
• Music — I play, I obsess, I go to shows. Big fan of anything with funk in its DNA
• Bikes — road and otherwise, sometimes very seriously
• Photography — learning, slowly, on a Fujifilm X-S20
• Cooking — mainly an excuse to eat well
• Road trips — any excuse to go somewhere new

I’ve been online for a long time. I had a Twitter account from 2007 until Elon bought it. I’m on Bluesky now, where I am apparently a Certified Bluesky Elder.
